  The New Peking Duck is better for it's food than it's restaurant in my opinion. The meals are delicious, especially the crispy duck pancakes to start and the chicken with garlic and spring onions for a main.
  
  The staff in the restaurant are always very polite and eager to please customers. The food is cooked  very quickly when you're in the restaurant and to take away.
  
  The reason I say the takeout is better than the restaurant is that it seems to lack a bit of oomph. I can't really describe it much better than that, there isn't a great atmosphere as it doesn't seem to get very busy. The decor is slightly dated, but you do tend to find that with Chinese restaurants somtimes.

  The food was good but it's hard to enjoy food when u can't help but notice that the fish in the fish tank are close to death, they don't look after them and when I went the family's kids were fighting which was loud but other than that food was good

  New Peking Duck Chinese Restaurant has been established in Liverpool for twenty years and stands out on Smithdown Rd with a beaming red sign.
  
  Upon entering the establishment I found the decor to be dated and gerish. Although, the atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff were efficient, so this made up for the limited aesthetic pull of the restaurant.
  
  The menu offers a varied choice of banquets, for around £10.00 you can get soup, a starter, main and tea or coffee. This offer is available up until 7pm everyday. You can also pick from meals A-D or special vegetarian and peking duck banquets.
  
  I found the peking duck option to be particularly enjoyable and the service was exceptionally speedy. I think next time I would prefer to order-in though, as the restaurant also offers a great takeaway service.

  With this establishment being situated on Smithdown road it is very popular with students and always seems to be busy. Serving a wide variety of chinese dishes there is something for everyone - the chicken and cashew nut is my favorite dish there. On one occasion i thought the service could have been better though. Taking everything into account thought this place is very good value and a worthy outing with friends or family.
